Glass Partition

The ALTERRA Demountable Partition System offers solutions for interior glass partitions with minimal framing. The ALT100 SGU wall profiles are available in 100x30mm for single & double glazing. Door rebate frames, sized at 100x30mm, serve as a common door profile for both swing and sliding doors.  Swing door profiles (70x35mm) are compatible with self-closing hinges for frameless and framed single-action doors up to 100 kg.   Sliding door profiles (70x35mm) support manual sliding door elements up to 80 kg weight capacity. The system is suitable for installation to walls, floors, and ceilings.

The system includes intermediate slim junction profiles for glass-to-glass vertical joints, 90-degree L junction, and T junction profiles, adaptable to various room configurations. Additional components include overhead panel profiles, sliding door inline tracks, recess profiles, pocket door recess profiles, pinch-free profiles for pivot doors, solid wall interface profiles, carpet-to-tile transition profiles, Brooklyn stick-on profiles, and wide junctions (T, 180, 90 degrees) for diverse assembly designs.

ALT100SGU profiles accommodate fixed partition glass thicknesses of 10/12/13.52mm and glass/stile/timber door thicknesses of 10, 12, and 35mm. Profiles are supplied in EV1/Black anodized finish, complete with necessary clips, gripper clamps, connectors, seals, dormakaba hardware, and accessories, tailored to client design requirements.

The system provides benefits such as concealed sealing, electrical cable routing, carpet edge covering, adjustable covers, concealed door hardware mounting, enhanced stability with gripper clamps, and improved acoustic performance. The product is environmentally friendly, holding an EPD declaration.

The system involves the installation of frameless partitions using 8/10/12 mm clear toughened glass, secured with dormakaba stainless steel patch fittings and/or wall connecting profiles (PT/WCP standard).

The installation also includes perimeter sealing of glass-to-glass joints with silicon sealants. The work is to be completed in all respects as per approved drawings and to the satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge/architect consultant.
